Being creative is hard lol.

This might be obvious for a lot of Neocity hobbyists. But making something unique and cool that expresses you is hard. Especially if you're not some CSS/JS wiz who's experience and can easily prototype. But that's kinda why this is fun.

Right now what I'm basically doing is what any newbie does. I look at what others have done, build what I can, search the internet for code samples and commit acts of piracy against my neihbours... not without alterations of course (I'm a pirate. Not a barbarian).

For instance my current background was "borrowed" from Daikonet's source code. Not without some modifications of course. I change the BG image to a Floppy Disk and credited the CSS. But still... just want to be honest because they've been an inspiration for this site.

Just in the spirit of being 100% honest. The current navigation buttons on my homepage that were taken from Candlelit Smiles site. I've made pretty large changes to the CSS and visuals at this point. But they're unmistakenly taken from their wonderful site.

Other inspirations to pillage.

Just as some honourable mentions. I really liked the Windows XP style of the Webcore Edits site. They use a popular CSS repo called XP.CSS. A styles sheet I think a lot of Neocity sites use. I also borrowed their side advertisments (still need to modify those more).

I have a few goals for this website.

• Make the homepage better.
• RSS Feed for blog.
• Commenting/Blog reactions.
• Redo my Music recommendation page as it's still super basic.
• Improve the overall design/style of the site and make it my own.
• Learn to spell.
• Improve blog writing system. Not sure if I could without PHP or another server side language though. So probs won't cause I want this site simple.
